As part of our Personal Development curriculum, every year class teams adopt a shared identity linked to an animal. Animals are chosen during transition visits prior to each new school year starting. Children learn how to be a good team and build a positive shared community for learning and growing together by taking inspiration from the characteristics of their animal.

For 2026 2027 Class 1 are our 'Elephants'

Although Elephants may all look very similar, they have very distinct and individual personalities. In Class 1 we learn how to be proud of who we are celebrate what we can all bring individually to our Elephant team.

Just like elephants, we are also very curious in Class 1 - exploring and finding out and asking questions to build our knowledge about the world around us.

Elephants are very compassionate animals and have empathy - in our class team this is so important to us and we work hard to look after each other and show care and concern for others around us through the things we say and the way we treat each other.
